| I was brought up in the little Country Baptist Church in Akron, Ohio where my grandfather was the minister, choir director and soloist -- rabbi and cantor, so to speak. Grandmother played the piano, and my mom played the organ. My 2 sisters and I learned the old songs and became a trio -- the Singing Sisters, eventually recording and singing all over the United States. |

| The 15 students of Vocal Tech 1 learn to |

| a particular series of exercises that powers, |
| develops, and strengthens the muscles of the voice. |
| We also learn songs, |
| singing together as well as solo. |
| By the end of the 8 week session, |
| people are eager to sing alone. |
| Vocal Tech 2 continues what began in VT 1 |
| including being eligible (not required) to sing |
| at one of the musical outings we call our |

| I offer private voice lessons from my home studio in East Rogers Park, Chicago, IL. Here we focus on each individual need and level of development, and expand the repertoire. I coach beginners as well as classically trained singers who would like to continue studying the classics and/or transition to jazz and lighter repertoire. I have professional experience in and can advise and coach contempory music, musical theater and classical. I provide song ideas as well as help folks learn the songs they want to learn. My Voice Performance degree is from Wheaton College |
